· Scope and Content	The Cambodia record group details medical, educational, and recreational assistance to Cambodian refugees fleeing the Khmer Rouge to refugee camps on the border between Cambodia and Thailand. Some of the relief was delivered through JDC’s first Open Mailbox as a vehicle for non-sectarian aid; other funds were raised through in the Interfaith Hunger Appeal, a partnership among JDC, the Church World Services, and the Catholic Relief Services. The file also contains updates on relief operations from JDC’s Project Coordinator in Thailand and from JDC and International Red Cross staff and statistical reports on students and staff in some of the schools established in the refugee camps and library usage.
