| · Scope and Content | The Czechoslovakia record group documents JDC's work there, upon resuming operations in 1981 at the invitation of the 13,000-member Czech and Slovak Jewish community, many of whom were of advanced age and Holocaust survivors. JDC provided relief to hundreds of these clients through cash grants, maintained kosher kitchens in Prague, Kosice, and Bratislava, and purchased medical and religious supplies - including kosher food and wine for the holidays - abroad. | ||||
