Description | Young men in Tallitot holding a Torah scroll during a bar mitzvah This private orthodox house was used by OSE as a boarding house for Jewish children during the war. About 100 observant boys and girls lived or were sheltered in the house. Some classes were held there and the school offered some professional training as well as religious education. It was run by Robert Levy and his wife Lily; he is the cousin of Gaston Levy, who was the director of the nearby nursery. | |||
