Description | Young refugee Rosa Yakubowicz smiling over a plate of food after her arrival in Norway from Camp Foehrenwald. Her father, Benjamin Yakubowicz, survived Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen concentration camps. After the liberation he was diagnosed with tuberculosis. He spent the next couple of years in a TB hospital and in DP Camp Foehrenwald with his family. After recovery, the Yakubowicz family was accepted into Norway, where TB and post-tuberculosis patients can resettle. | |||
