Description | The JDC Norway representative with a refugee who emigrated to Norway under a special resettlement program for Jewish TB and post TB patients. Izak Laufer was one of fifty-three tuberculous and post-TB cases who arrived recently aboard a special AJDC transport for Jewish concentration camp survivors who, because of their medical histories, had been rejected as immigrants to other countries. The special transport was part of the JDC's intensive campaign to empty the remaining Jewish DP camps and bring the DP camp era to a close. | |||
