· Scope and Content	The Localities subcollection includes more than 500 files, alphabetically arranged by town, of correspondence between JDC and representatives of Jewish community organizations. These files also include reports of aid distributed, often in the form of lists of residents receiving aid, and financial reports of the assistance committees that formed in each town to coordinate relief efforts. Much of the correspondence is with the Jewish Council (Judenrat) or Council of Jewish Elders (Altestenrat).
