Description | Tin Pipe from Tin Cans. United Jewish Appeal leaders Henry Bornstein (left); Jack Weiler (second from right); and William Bein, Joint Distribution Committee director for Morocco, pose for the photographer outside a primitive "workshop" operated by a Jewish craftsman in Marrakech. Mr. Bein is holding in his hands a length of stovepipe made from used tin cans. The cans originally contained condensed milk distributed by JDC as a part of the intensive child-feeding and health programs in North Africa. Funds for JDC's overseas relief, resettlement and re-habilitation programs are provided in the U.S. through the United Jewish Appeal | |||
